HE’S READY! Boakye Yiadom Upbeat For Black Stars AFCON Qualifier

Richmond Boakye Yiadom relishes his call-up to the national team by the coach, Kwasi Appiah for Ghana Black Stars’ AFCON 2019 Qualifier this week.

The Red Star Belgrade striker, who was on target this weekend for his side, is all buoyed up for Black Stars qualifier with Sierra Leone over the weekend.

The Black Stars are expected to make amends after losing the first match of the qualifying series to Kenya in Nairobi last month.

In January, Boakye Yiadom has rejoined Red Star Belgrade on loam from Jiangsu Suning.

The 25-year-old left the Belgrade-based club during the last winter transfer window after hitting 42 strikes in 48 games outings in all competition.

The Black Stars will open camp today in Kumasi, venue for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone.

This means head coach Kwesi Appiah will have just three days to prepare before hosting the Leone Stars.

Although the fate of the match still hangs in the balance amid Sierra Leone’s troubles with FIFA, the Black Stars will continue preparations until otherwise according to the Normalization Committee.
