Ghanaian model,Pennina Yeboah, is looking to make the country proud at this year’s Miss Globe beauty pageant scheduled for Tirana -Albania on November 25.
An editorial, commercial, runway and photo model signed to DSG Model Management, Pennina (christened in modeling circles as “dark horse”) is one of 45 contestants aiming for the ultimate prize.
A student of the Methodist University College, Pennina is the second model from Accra-based DSG Model Management to represent the country at such an international event. Last year, her colleague Maud Fadi was in São Tomé and Príncipe for the Exquisite Face of the Universe contest, after placing second at Miss Earth 2015.
Officially commencing operation for about 2 years now, the outfit trains and manages both Ghanaians and non- Ghanaians in modeling.
“It is the pride of every organization to see its members flourish in whatever venture they find themselves in,” Dionne Slashy Gavin tells in an exclusive interview.
“Management is always elated to see it models chalk so much success. Penny has been nominated twice in the Ghana Tertiary Awards, and the AFROMA Awards. We’re just so privileged to be part of her success,” he further states.
DSG Model Management has also been the official grooming house for Miss Excel Plus for the past 5 years. They have also been associated with such pageants as Face of GIJ, Face of Zenith, as well as other top fashion shows.
Though not strictly a voting competition, Ms. Yeboah’s chances are significantly boosted by how much support she rallies via her social media platforms. While CEO Mr. Gavin admits that it’s a tough completion, he stresses their optimism at her chances in the pageant: “it’s competitive, but we are hopeful she grabs the title,” he says.
