WHY? Gospel Stations Refusing To Play Celestine Donkor’s New Song With Efya, Others?

The confounding subject about the realm of gospel in Ghana rejecting anything secular when it comes to music, still pertains – unfortunately, can state!

Award-winning gospel minstrel, Celestine Donkor, seems to be facing the chagrin of some gospel folks after the release her song, “Thank You (Yedawase)” – which features popular secular acts, Efya and Akwaboah.

Sources have hinted to this portal, that some influential gospel-oriented media platforms and presenters are refusing to broadcast the song, on TV and radio.

Their purported reasoning behind the decision; the song features Efya and Akwaboah!

Such reasoning not to show or play the song is not based on any technical premise, of the song not meeting any quality standards but – on the fact that, the song features two multiple award-winning artistes who are considered ‘non-gospel’

The song also features the legendary Maa Cynthia of Daughters of Glorious fame, as well as Ashley Chucks, Eyram and Victor.

The song, “Thank You’ (Yedawase)”, also comes with a quality video directed by Director_Abas

Interestingly, the video is receiving such rave reviews on YouTube, with commentators expressing their delight over the vocals in the song, the artistes on the song, the inspirational theme of the song, as well as the music video.

Here are some critique on the video;
