Adviser to the Zylofon Arts Fund (ZAF), Socrate Sarfo has mentioned that the fund was initiated to help solve some of the issues that affects funding in the industry.
In view of this, he urged every creative person to patronize the fund as their doors are widely open for deliberations. Sarfo, a filmmaker himself, speaking at the maiden Zylofon Music Industry Party indicated that, all patrons needed to do, is to apply.
“To acquire a portion of the fund, just apply”, he said.
The event sought to bring together artistes, beat makers, producers, artiste managers, entertainment analysts and bloggers among others to discuss pertinent industry problems and attempting to find solutions. The night-long event involved an open forum, interspersed with some musical performances.
Issues concerning where the Ghana music industry is heading, how to break through the international music market and funding were discussed with great inputs from entertainment bigwigs and media persons.
The party was graced by CEO of Zylofon and Menzgold Nana Appiah Mensah and wife, Rozy, MUSIGA president Obuor, Appietus, Becca, Knii Lantey and his Big Hills Band, Bisa Kdei, Kwame Zaggy, Agbesie, Abban, Stay Jay, Anokye Supremo, Joyce Blessing, and Epixode, just to mention but a few.
The Zylofon Music Industry Party, sponsored by Zylofon Cash was organized by Zylofon Media at the forecourt of the Zylofon Arts Complex, East legon last Sunday.
