Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) top winner, Joe Mettle, is not only a Minister of songs, he can also minister the word, but most importantly, he has his own beliefs on what to pray for and what to fast over – and VGMA is not on his list of prayer topics.
The ‘Artiste of the Year’ for VGMA 2017 has been speaking, especially after winning the topmost honour, and he has been talking to almost every radio station in the country.
As his prize for winning, he must answer to almost every radio presenter, and must answer to some thought-provoking questions, probing ones and of course, the very dumb questions too. He has little choice – www.entertainmentgh.com knows!
In response to a question by DJ Roar of the Kumasi-based Kessben FM last Saturday and captured by mynewsgh.com, on claims he might have prayed and fasted before winning the coveted price, Joe gave a Holy Spirit-directed answer, maybe not!
“I see no sense in fasting and praying to win an award like the VGMA. I never prayed to win this award.”
Well, according to him, one can pray and fast for other things but not the VGMA plaque, the same award that has seen his brand experience a meteoric rise in the last weeks.
His popularity has surged, his pricing has catapulted and his artistry is on a pedestal, but of course, there was no prayer and fasting needed for all that.
