The 33-year-old acclaimed ‘King of Ghana Dancehall’ has become the 6th musician to join the record label.
The 2014 ‘Artiste of the Year’ winner joins Stonebwoy, Becca, Kumi Guitar, Joyce Blessing and others who were signed to the music label last year.
Zylofon intends to promote the dance hall artist to fit international standards.
According to Zylofon Media‘s Head of Communications, Mr Samuel Atuobi Baah, the deal is a360 management deal, where, the record label manages all the business activities of the Shatta Wale brand.
“From today, the business of Shatta Wale is the business of Zylofon Media. From today, the business of Zylofon Media is also the business of Shatta Wale,” he said.
The deal is said to be for a 3 year period.
When it comes to recording songs in Ghana, no one has done it more than Shatta Wale. In 2016, he recorded over 100 songs and repeated the same thing in 2017. This time, Zylofon Music will pay for all his recordings even if, they are over a 200 songs.
Zylofon Media is a subsidiary of Zylofon Media Company, which is a limited liability company duly registered and incorporated in Ghana. It is also a multimedia entertainment company established to supply profitable,acceptable, audio and visual entertainment to diverse domestic and international consumers.
