HOW FAR? Agya Koo And Lumba Tv Promises Failing?-Blakofe Is Curious

Former Deputy CEO of Ghana Tourism Development Company (GTDC), Akua Blakofe, is wondering what has happened to the numerous promises made by the Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, when she assumed office.

According to Oheneba Akua Manfo, popularly known as Akua Blakofe, there is absolutely nothing going on.

Akua Blakofe, in May this year, accused CEO of GTDC, Kwadwo Antwi of failing to live up to the office’s mandate and preferring to travel rather than work.

In a Facebook post in May this year when she confirmed her resignation from the GTDC and cited some irregularities at the company.

According to her, she took the bold decision to resign because she “wanted to work, and not travel and take per diems.” She also claimed she was excluded from carrying out her duties.

Touching on the creative arts sector, she asked “ 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 how far with Lumba TV? Agya Koo TV and all the other stuff we were promised for tourism and creative arts?  😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂 😂. Masree saaaaaa. Only it’s not a laughing matter.”

Catherine Afeku launched Agya Koo TV in February this year at the Accra Mall promising to follow it up with Daddy Lumba TV. Daddy Lumba TV is yet to be launched.

The Minister had said that, the launch of the TV platform was part of “the business of placing Ghanaian content at the disposal of viewers throughout the world and the artistes are signed on to produce popular content, including already existing content, that will run as a series in the name of the artistes and it is already showing on most of the mobile phones.

In February this year, Catherine Afeku broke grounds for the commencement of the $3m dollar Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Museum project at Akuapem-Mampong in the Eastern Region.

That she said was in furtherance of the government’s policy to promote the local consumption of cocoa and increase the contribution of the golden tree to the country’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
