EXCLUSIVE: Stonebwoy Fails To Get Nomination @ Grammys

The highly -anticipated Grammy nomination for Ghanaian dancehall act, Stonebwoy, went up in smoke, after his album failed to make the cut for the final nomination list for the ‘Best Reggae Album’ category – can state authoritatively.

The ‘Problem’ hit maker had alerted music-loving Ghanaians over the consideration of his album by the Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences for the category. The news was heavily proliferated by the media and music fans, who had high hopes that, the ‘Livingstone’ album would gain nomination.

When the nominations were released a couple of hours ago as monitored by, the following made up the category for ‘Best Reggae Album’ for the 59th Grammys;

Beyonce leads the 2017 Grammys with nine nominations, including bids for album of the year with “Lemonade,” and song and record of the year with “Formation.” The singer, who already has 20 Grammys, is also the first artist to earn nominations in the pop, rock, R&B and rap categories in the same year.

Behind Beyonce are Drake, Rihanna and Kanye West, who scored eight nominations each.
