Miss Ghana UK Foundation has this week announced the appointment of Mr. Ed Edinkrah as its Chief Executive Officer. As a member of the Executive Board of the organization, Mr. Edinkrah, a talent scout and an investor within the African creative arts sector will be responsible for the direction of the foundation and its subsidiaries.
The foundation is the social conscious arm of the Miss Ghana UK brand which has existed for over two decades. The Miss Ghana UK Foundation was launched 16 years ago and has been registered to operate as a non-governmental organisation to expand its contribution to the advancement of deprived Ghanaians locally and internationally.
Mr. Edinkrah comes to the job with over fifteen years of experience, locally and internationally, working in various capacities in the arts, culture and entertainment industry. He has a reputation for professionalism, compassion, transparency, accountability and overall his respect for equality. Prior to his appointment, he has contributed enormously to the activities of the Miss Ghana UK brand and the foundation.
Commenting on his new role, Mr. Edinkrah said “I am excited to be taking up a role which will allow me to make a meaningful contribution to the human capital development of the country. I am thankful to the directors of the Miss Ghana UK brand and promise to perform my duties to the best of my ability. My focus is to aid in the development of the socio-human capital of Ghana by improving the quality of people’s lives through appropriate and sustainable social interventions in identified areas”.
The Chief Executive Officer is expected to have a broad community impact and support national and international development in addition to scout for volunteers to support the policies of the foundation. Mr. Edinkrah is also to mobilize and solicit for funds to effectively support the activities of the foundation.
He is well-known as the CEO for SpyderLee Entertainment, the firm responsible for artistes like Keche and Teephlow, as well the GN Bank Awards.
