The highlife legend, Nana Kwame Ampadu has died and tributes have poured in from all arenas of the country. His influence was inestimable – touching everybody else in the country including the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Akufo Addo.
Professsor Stephen Kwaku Asare also known as Kwaku Azar has advocated for the State to offer the legend a State Burial.
He is of the conviction that, considering the enormous contribution the legend made to the nation with music, it is only appropriate for the State to honour him with a befitting burial.
“Nobody told a story better or gave a sounder advice than he did. From ‘Ebe Yie’ to ‘Obra’, ‘Oman Bo Adwo’, ‘Mother’, ‘Asaasie Aban’, ‘Emelia, ‘Agatha’ and many others. on behalf of his millions of fans, we call for a State Burial for Nana.” he posted.
