After a short hiatus, Socrate Safo, a leading figure in the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), is back on radio, doing what he loves to do best – defending the government.
The Director at the National Commission on Culture, made a grand appearance on the same show he made his infamous exit, Okay 101.7FM’s ‘Best Entertainment’ show overseen by Halifax Ansah Addo.
Mr. Safo has been out of the media space for 2 weeks after lamenting on radio about challenges he’s faced in almost 4 years of defending the government. He ‘cried’ over coming on radio to defend and going home hungry. He also decried the phenomenon of not being provided with information within the party.
His actions generated such hoopla as members of the opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC), took advantage and used Socrate’s plight and revelation as a critical tool in taking a dig at the government.
Socrate was also not spared as memes were created on social media for his outburst with reports of members of his party not being excited with his actions as well as talks of government officials working to sort him out.
Interestingly, while taking time off, this portal, www.entertainmengh.com realized how the government had no representative in the media to defend its manifesto with regard to the Creative industry as well as debating that of the NDC.
As expected, Socrate faced a tense debate on his comeback as he faced off with 3 staunch NDC communicators, Rex Omar, Baba Sadiq Abu and Lawrence Asiamah Hanson.
