The winner of the 2011 edition of Ghana Most Beautiful (GMB), Sally Akua Amoakowaa Mensah popularly known as Akua Ghana’s most Beautiful, has empowered young Ghanaian ladies who are well endowed with their culture to audition for the maiden edition of the ‘Miss Golden Stool’ pageant on Saturday and Sunday in Kumasi.

According to her post on the Instagram page which was sighted by, Akua assured all participants to be bold to join the pageantry this year because the ‘Miss Golden Stool’ goes beyond the enviable crown and cash as paralleled to other beauty pageants.

Akua who happens to be part of the organisers added that the pageant would groom the ladies to be able to overcome challenges as a queen and also support with their projects rather than the organiser’s exploiting the ladies for their selfish gain as other pageants do to their queens.

However, explaining her experience as a past queen of Ghana Most Beautiful in 2011, she detailed that “I’ve been a queen and I’ve experienced the pain, distress, disappointments, and agony behind that beautiful face the enviable title and the glamorous crown”

The General Manager for Angel TV noted that the pageant seeks to prepare all qualified selected queens to be an agent of change in Ghana but not just a lady with the crown during her reign. The former beauty queen further urged by vowing to ladies who would walk to Angel FM and “Abusua” FM to pick a form that they are not going to regret making such decision.

The audition for Miss Golden Stool which seeks to celebrate the rich culture of the people in the Asante Kingdom will come off on August 25 and 26.
