ARTISTE OF THE YEAR? Ebony ‘Shuts Down’ West Hills With Bonyfied Concert

Popular female songstress, Ebony Reigns, just made another big shout for the ultimate VGMA ‘Artist of the Year’ nod with a mammoth concert over the weekend.

She was not perturbed with the no-show of almost all the top artistes who were billed to perform, like Sarkodie, Kidi, MzVee, King Promise, Kuame Eugene etc – and went on to ‘shutdown’ the show, noted!

Despite a downpour Saturday December 9, Ebony’s “Bonyfied Soloku Concert’ went ahead at the West Hills Mall as planned – reports Gabriel Myers-Hansen of!

The show was held in honour of her 16-track debut album “Bonyfied”. Though a number of top acts expected to grace the event did not show up due the rain, the likes of Kurl Songx, Epixode, Agbeshie, Gemini, Eno, Bosheba, label mate Brella all performed at the event.

An estimated 3000 fans attended the Kasapreko -sponsored concert.

Born Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, Ebony is well-known for records as “Kupe”, “Poison”,”Sponsor”, “Date Your Fada”, and “Hustle”. Because of what an outstanding 2017 she has had, Ebony is widely tipped to win Artist of the Year at next year’s Vodafone-sponsored Ghana Music Awards.

She is signed to Rufftown Records/ Midas Touch.
