APOLOGY! I Am Sorry For Stealing Your Song – Mr. Drew Apologizes To Rotimi

Budding Ghanaian artiste, Mr. Drew has rendered an apology to international music star, Rotimi, for infringing on his intellectual property – is relieved!

The artiste made the apology on Hitz FM’s ‘Daybreak Hitz’, after admitting to stealing Rotimi’s hit song, ‘Love Riddim’.

“I am sorry for stealing your song. I want to apologize to you and Empire,” he said.

Drew’s remake, ‘Eat’ was struck down from YouTube and streaming portals after Rotimi and his label, Empire detected copyright infringement and took action.

The action by Highly Spiritual Music recording artiste has instigated  conversation on covers, remakes and ultimately, the lack of respect for intellectual properties within the Ghanaian music industry.

Olurotimi Akinosho (born November 30, 1988), known professionally as Rotimi, is a Nigerian-American actor, singer, and model. In 2019 he released a single titled “Love Riddim” which has garnered attention worldwide.
