The month December on the Ghanaian ‘entertainment calender’ is always choked with many enthralling events, and event organizers are always jostling to stand-out and make their respective events get the biggest turn-out and to generate the loudest cheer.
It is therefore not surprising that, organizers of Sarkodie’s ‘Rapperholic’ concert, knowing what they have achieved in the past and who they have as their headline act, would gloat over owning the day, 25th December.
Christmas Day isn’t only for the ‘Rapperholic’ Concert but also for the BASS Awards organized by Bullhaus Entertainment and Solid Multimedia; but the organizers of the ‘Rapperholic’ Concert are however not worried with the fact that BASS Awards will also happen the same night.
“BASS Awards should rather be worried,” Nabil Alhassan, a member of the A-Team Productions, co-producers of the ‘Rapperholic’ concert emphasized – at a press conference held at the Accra City Hotel to launch the concert.
“BASS Awards is predominantly a dancehall/reggae event and ours is strictly hip hop,” he continued.
They also added that 25th of December belongs to Sarkodie because, two years ago, they did not hold a ‘Rapperholic’ concert and to their surprise, no event organizer put up an event on that day because, they were all scared.
The 2016 ‘Rapperholic’ Concert, slated for the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC), will be produced by Sarkcess Music with support from A-Team Productions
According to Sarkcess Music and A-Team Productions, this year’s edition will be filled with lots of surprises and all who have collaborated with Sarkodie will pass through.
