The much-discussed feud between dancehall artistes, Samini and Shatta Wale seems to have no end in sight and we are not surprised but it is the fight for dominance and supremacy that is tickling our fancy.
Obviously, not only do the two artistes want to claim superiority in their music, they also want to attain ascendancy in every aspect of show business and this was apparent when the two artistes decided to share the two Jamaican artistes, Popcaan and DaVinci, who were guest artistes at the ‘All-Star Musical Concert’ that climaxed the 2014 MUSIGA GMW.
Right after the concert, which saw the two Ghanaian acts together with their Jamaican counterparts, put up stellar performances – Samini and Shatta Wale have pitched camps with the two dancehall artistes from Jamaica
Shatta Wale chose DaVinci in a move that saw the two enter the studios of Shatta Wale in Nima to record a joint together. The song titled ‘Party Time’ has the two testing their lyrical prowess in a club banger.
Not gratified with the collaboration, Shatta Wale took DaVinci on a tour through the outskirts of Nima in a blatant move for the Jamaican artiste to see and feel his popularity.
Not to be left in the dark, Samini also took hold of the other Jamaican, Popcaan for collaboration on a song. The two wrapped up the music video shoot for the collaboration last week. The video, which was directed by Prince Dovlo features appearances from Kaakie, Jupita and upcoming dancehall act, Hus Eugene. The song, whose title is yet to be made public, was produced by Magnom.
It is clear, that the moment the two respective collaborations are released, they will be subjected to critical analysis by music lovers and surely, one will be said to be bigger, nicer, and of great quality by fans from both divide.
