I Had ‘Running Stomach’ – Pat Thomas

Celebrated highlife artiste, Pat Thomas has attributed his inability to perform at the F14 Concert this Val’s Day to tummy upset and nothing else.

The ‘Golden Voice of Africa’ as he is affectionately called, however, repudiated the talk that he was not paid by headlining act, Kwabena Kwabena for his appearance, hence, his refusal to perform. “In fact, Kwabena Kwabena paid me more than half of the agreed amount, so, it is not true that I didn’t mount the stage because I was not paid,” he confessed.

He explained to Razz that, he got to the venue at 8:30pm because he was billed to perform close to that time. Just when he got to the auditorium, he sensed that, he had got ‘running stomach’ which made him drive back home. When he came back to the venue, the show was almost closing and he was unable to perform. Instead, he did a birthday song for TV Star, Afia Schwarzenegger, who celebrated her birthday at the show.

Pat apologized to his fans who patronized the show to see him perform, “I want to say sorry for what happened and I want to apologize accordingly, for my inability to perform.”

Further checks by the paper indicated that the artiste performed in another show in Tema on the same night, making observers wonder if indeed, the veteran highlife artiste did get ‘running stomach’ that caused his no-show at Kwabena Kwabena’s F14 Concert.
