For the umpteenth time on the Project Fame West Africa reality show, Ghana had to settle for the runners-up slot, falling to Nigerian winner again.
As highly expected, at the close of the seventh season of the reality show that featured 13 Nigerians and 3 Ghanaians as competitors, Nigerian, Geoffrey – was adjudged the winner of the contest.
Two (2) Ghanaians, Christian and Clement, who gave stellar performances throughout the competition, settled for 2nd and 3rd runners-up respectively.
Not to take anything away from him, Geoffrey was good: his strong vocal strength stood out, winning the hearts of judges and Faculty heads every week of performance. Most importantly, he won the hearts and votes of viewers.
Ruky emerged the first runner up and received N3m and a car; Christian won a winning prize of N2m and a car while Clement received N2m for taking the third runner-up position. While the rest of the contestants received between N1m and N5, 000, 000. It was a competition that rewarded all despite their positions.
This season recorded some high viewership ratings as over 200 million ardent viewers of Project Fame watched online and via digital and terrestrial TV stations in Canada, UK, US, Ghana, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Egypt, South Africa and more.
For Ghana’s participation in the reality show, after the stories of Nii, Kesse, and now Chris and Clement, it’s about time strategies are engineered to ensure change of fortunes the next time.
