The maiden edition of the Brong Ahafo Music Awards (BAMA), which was scheduled for the 11th of August did not come off as planned.
Speaking on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda, Joshua Anemi, founder and CEO of J Black Code Events, organizers of BAMA revealed that they were challenged with financial issues with regards to securing the venue for the event. www.zylofonmediaonline.com monitored!
Joshua explained that, preparations towards the event was underway months ago, however, negotiations for the venue did not go in their favor.
“We were asked to pay 100% before we could use the venue but we were only ready to pay 5% upfront and settle the rest after the show”, he told Sammy Flex, host of the show.
He revealed that, a day before the scheduled date for the event, the general manager of the Eusbett International Conference Centre in Sunyani, maintained that, 100% payment be made before they are allowed to hold the event at the premises.
However, he announced that, the scheme has been postponed to 21st September this year
