The issue of ‘undeground’ acts took the headlines after Stonebwoy made a comment at the 2019 4Syte Music Video Awards about how some underground acts need to show respect.
That coomet got social media buzzing as some frowned on the commentary as an affront to up and coming acts while some supported the call.
In the midst of all the banter comes Fuse ODG, with an initiative that is catching some steam on social media – #SupportUnderground, www.entertainmentgh.com has, as always, been following.
The motive, according to the award-winning artiste, is to accord these up and coming artistes the opportunity to showcase their talent and songs, especially on the social page of Fuse.
Just days after that announcement, a lot of up and coming acts have flooded Fuse’s twitter handle, releasing songs or short videos of them singing or rapping.
As an indication that this is not just another move for trends, the UK-based artiste has insisted that, he and his team would pick some of these ‘underground’ acts, organize some studio sessions with some world-class producers next month at his ODG Mansion in Accra.
