In the last few days, Ghanaian filmmaker, Kofi Asamoah and his KOFAS Media firm has come under severe scrutiny and castigation over what is turning out to be a copyright infringement in connection to his hit movie, ‘John & John’ – which is alleged to be a direct copy of the South African movie, ‘Skeem’ – www.entertainmentgh.com can say.
The bashing seem not to affect the celebrated director, as he is prepping to release his new television series, ‘Noko Fio’.
‘Noko Fio’ features a myriad of A-list actors, including the likes of Nana Ama McBrown, Benedicta Gafah, Yaw Dabo, Jackson Davies and Salma Mumin.
Comedians, Derick Kobina Bonney (DKB) and Hogan also make appearances in the television series which also has Kalybos, featuring in yet another KOFAS production and Umar Krupp.
Typical of Kofi Asamoah in his movies and TV series, he introduces new faces in ‘Noko Fio’ – Ibrahim Ben Brako of Hitz FM and Multi TV fame, Desiree Crentsil and Akosua of Ghana’s Most Beautiful fame.
