Back in the 2000s he used to command the streets with his freestyles and rap flow. He has actually done lots of collaborations with the current stars in the music industry some of which included, SAMINI (Batman then), CASTRO, KWAW KESE, MZBEL, KOFI NTI and many more. http://www.entertainmentgh.com has stated!
Arguably, he was one of the best rappers Ghana ever had. Fast forward to today, he has literally turned into a beggar.
The 38-year-old (Baka Tee) claimed he is not doing drugs yet, really didn’t look good when he appeared for the interview on Starr Drive on Thursday hosted by, Giovani Elolo Caleb.
He admits he is into alcohol which could be the reason he looks frail compounding his poor situation of unable to make a square meal but the host advised he cuts down on the quantum of alcoholic intake.
Asked by the host what caused his predicament; his response was; “No one stays on top forever. Life happened. ….. I need your support.”
Bak Tye aka Baka Tee rose to superstardom on the strength of his stunning voice, well thought of lyrics and the type of music he does – hip-hop and dancehall blended with highlife.
He earned frequent comparison to rivals in the hiplife game because of his titled ‘Fameko’.
His big break came after he released a song called ‘Ye Ntem’ featuring Batman and topped it up with Mzbel featuring him on ‘Awoso Me’.
