We miss E.L.! We miss the E.L. who gave us the double album in ‘Something Else’ and the ‘BARS’, we do miss that E.L that mesmerized us with ‘Koko’, ‘Me Na Bo Po’ and more. We miss seeing and hearing E.L on rotation on radio and on the many high profile shows. Yes, we even miss the E.L. who projected his brand and Ghanaian music on ‘Coke Africa Studio’. Indeed, we miss E.L!
Thankfully, it is heartwarming and refreshing for www.entertainmentgh.com to state unequivocally that E.L. is back and how do we know? He just gave us ‘Higher’!
E.L released visuals to his latest single, ‘Higher’ and clearly, any ‘stan’ or music lover and observer would recognize that, the 2016 VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’ has got his groove back.
The single has everything that defines the artiste we fell in love with in 2011, with bangers in ‘Obuu Mo’, ‘Kaalu’ in 2012 and a plethora of other hits that paved the way for the BAR Concerts – which culminated into his dominance in 2016, annexing every relevant award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
After his departure from BBnZ Record Label, E.L. has floundered; seemingly not from funding to make music, but from his ability to garner a hit song, get that rotation on the airwaves, attain that critical mention and get the relevant gigs.
E.L on ‘Coke Studio’;
It’s not as though the man has not tried, he has actually; he released one of the most profound, cheery and genuine tracks of 2018, ‘Joy’ under VO Nation Label and still didn’t get the appropriate elevation he sought.
Watch ‘Joy’ Here;
But with conviction, we know that, this new single is bound to take E.L. higher again!
