Ghanaian gospel is thriving, not only in Ghana but in foreign land, especially the United Kingdom and one budding musician who is expected to elevate the craft and the gospel is Martin Fei.
The UK-based Ghanaian musician, who has a musical background, thanks to the involvement of his parents in the Church Choir – has released an inspiring new gospel song, ‘Aseda’ – and it is generating such rave reviews.
Produced by Joe Wilson, ‘Aseda’, which literally means ‘thanksgiving’, talks about the appreciation God deserves for his love, care, protection and all his wondrous works in the lives of his children.
Recorded last year, the song is inspired by Martin’s life experiences, much of which have been spent in the United Kingdom, where he works at the University College of London.
The alumnus of Prempeh College in the Ashanti Region of Ghana is buoyant in making a difference in people’s lives.
“Forget about your worries and thank God. Whatever you going through is not the end. The Lord is bigger than what you are going through. Just hope for the best and thank Him,” Martin said.
According to him, the song is dedicated to his mother, the reason for his existence.
‘Aseda’ is a single on the upcoming debut album, yet to be released.
